It focuses on exploring and shaping opportunities for people involved in Smart City projects. Save the date! The 7th edition of Sustainable Places is Europe’s no1 destination for dissemination of research, collaboration, networking and the creation of market opportunities. This year’s program will mostly focus on data and AI and how they are the game changers for the cities both today and in the future. Smart, inquiring minds meet to challenge each other, collaborate and achieve the seemingly impossible.

Iben was invited to give an overview about Sonderborg’s transition to become a carbon free city and will be representing SmartEnCity project in the panel session “Best practices in Smart Cities” at 11 o’clock in the morning. The Horizon Energy info day will take place on 5 October – in Brussels, in the Charlemagne building.

It will present the upcoming funding opportunities offered by the EU’s H Programme to projects focusing on smart energy systems and smart cities and communities concepts. Our sister project Triangulum will be directly involved in the organisation of the event and will contribute to its programme. This event will gather local and national authorities, representatives from the European Commission and INEA, and experts involved in city transformation strategies from its different perspectives, covering smart city approaches, re-naturing of cities, circular economy or successful histories of innovation ecosystems setting the citizen at the centre of the city regeneration towards more sustainable and more liveable environments.

Its primary purpose is to strengthen democracy and dialogue in Denmark. The mission of the conference is to explore major trends and developments affecting the bus industry and outlook for the future. It will cover adaptation of existing vehicles, decision making in bus technology selection based on total lifecycle cost, financing and procurement strategies, role of buses in multi-modal transportation, technology innovation as well as challenges and best practices in deployment.

Three days of events to share the findings from local and international Smart City projects through hands-on demonstrations, discussions, networking and art installations.
